Open Country Dairy is fully committed to Quality. Our objective is to put our customers first in every aspect of our organisation.
We are fortunate to live in a clean, green country with a temperate climate for grass growth, where dairy cows can range free all year round, converting that grass to milk. We pride ourselves on having strong relationships with our dairy farmers and pledge to them that we are inter-dependent for our business success in our ‘Partnership by Choice'. All dairy farmers are aware of their accountability in providing top quality milk in order for quality manufacture to take place.
Quality control procedures are enforced rigorously during manufacture, with each of our three manufacturing sites, being subject to regular auditing programs. By consistently monitoring and reviewing our processes we can offer the highest quality services and products to our customers.

We are committed to monitoring the effectiveness of our systems through customer and market feedback for the development of products and services.
All Final Product is tested for chemical, sensory and microbial parameters using internationally recognised procedures at an independent ISO 17025 certified laboratory.
Specific Accountabilities
All manufacturing sites and suppliers operate under a Risk Management Programme approved by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority, (NZFSA). This programme incorporates a Risk Management Plan and HACCP plans.
Open Country have the ability to manufacture products for Halal and Kosher certification.
